Overview of the Role

The Sales Assistant supports positive customer experiences and drives sales within the store.

The role operates under Store Management and helps maintain a welcoming, organized retail environment.

Success includes maintaining store standards, engaging customers, and supporting housekeeping and fitting room service.

The role requires efficient independent work and teamwork.

Store Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and high-standard store environment.

Customer Interaction

  • Create a positive first impression through an energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a sincere greeting.
  • Thank customers as they exit and invite them to return.

Product Knowledge and Sales

  • Provide customers with current and relevant product information.
  • Provide quality fitting room service and attempt to add on to sales.

Cashier Duties

  • Provide efficient cash-wrap service, offer gift cards, maintain cash-wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Customer service and customer engagement skills are required.
  • Basic cash transaction and gift card handling proficiency is required.

Qualifications

  • A high school degree is required.
  • 1–2 years of retail sales experience is necessary.
  • The role requires standing for at least 8 hours and some heavy lifting.
  • Verbal communication proficiency is required.
