Safety Specialist

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead safety discussions and influence employee behaviour.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using digital safety platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Numerous years of industrial experience
• 511 & 501 (Highly Recommended)
• Prior experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, chemical handling, or high-voltage operations.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days).
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 855, and emergency planning standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 management systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required

• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear. Walking is required for at least 50% of the workday to perform duties.
• Must be able to work in industrial and construction environments including heat, noise, and use of PPE.
