About the Role
Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group is seeking a Safety Officer for Height Safety Services to ensure HSE compliance in workshop and field operations. The role involves managing workshop safety, supporting inspection and recertification activities, and conducting field safety inspections.

Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance of the Height Safety Services Workshop with company HSE policies and applicable safety regulations
- Conduct regular workshop safety inspections covering housekeeping, equipment safety, storage practices, and working conditions
- Monitor safe use of tools, machinery, lifting equipment, testing devices, and electrical systems within the workshop
- Ensure safe layout, access control, emergency exits, and safe movement of personnel and equipment
- Maintain workshop emergency preparedness including fire safety systems, first aid readiness, and evacuation procedures
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with MSDS requirements
- Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE requirements during onsite inspection, recertification, and servicing activities
- Review and verify Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and method statements prior to field work
- Ensure adherence to customer Permit to Work (PTW) systems and site specific safety rules
- Conduct field safety inspections and provide real time safety guidance during operations
- Support Height Safety inspection and recertification activities by ensuring safe execution of tasks
- Report, investigate, and document incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
- Professional HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles within industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or safety service environments
- Experience in workshop safety management and field inspection activities preferred
- Exposure to working at height operations and safety equipment services is an advantage
- Strong understanding of HSE systems, risk assessment, and hazard control
- Knowledge of height safety systems, fall protection equipment, and rescue operations
- Experience with PTW systems and industrial site safety requirements
- Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting systems

Skills
