We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at our construction / industrial sites.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, monitoring site activities, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures on site
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with local authority and project safety requirements
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
- Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports
- Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors
- Support audits, inspections, and authority visits
- Stop unsafe work practices and enforce safety rules
- Promote safety awareness among workers
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory)
- 5–7 years experience as Safety Officer in construction / industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
- UAE experience and local authority knowledge preferred
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Immediate joiners preferred
