Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor compliance on site
- Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures
- Liaise with site management, supervisors, and clients on HSE matters
Requirements
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Safety Officer
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard control measures
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting systems
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Job Summary
- The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at the workplace.
- The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and promoting a safe working culture.
- A valid NEBOSH Certificate is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with local authority, client, and international HSE requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Monitor unsafe acts and conditions and ensure immediate corrective action
- Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor compliance on site
- Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures
- Liaise with site management, supervisors, and clients on HSE matters
Qualifications & Requirements
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent (mandatory)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Safety Officer
- Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard control measures
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting systems
