Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, client requirements, and company standards
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and subcontractors
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its availability
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and incident documentation
- Monitor high risk activities such as working at heights, lifting operations, excavation work, confined space entry, and hot work
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation exercises
- Ensure safety signages, emergency equipment, and first aid facilities are maintained and accessible
- Liaise with project managers, supervisors, clients, and regulatory authorities on safety matters
