Role Overview
Perform moderately complex technical work across environmental, safety, and health disciplines.
Support compliance with ES&H standards and applicable government regulatory requirements.
Independently develop approaches to environmental, safety, and health solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
- Monitor work areas to prevent hazards and occupational diseases.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and workplace hazard complaints.
- Recommend process, design, procedure, and equipment improvements to minimize hazards.
- Conduct employee training and emergency preparedness activities.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
- May lead ES&H specialists or support personnel.
- May administer an ES&H program on a small or medium-sized project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely.
- NEBOSH Diploma is preferred.
- CSP or an equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Typically 12+ years of HSE experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, construction, or engineering projects.
