The employer is seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to support safe working environments across projects and operational sites.
The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards at work sites before and during operations.
- Develop and implement safety procedures, plans, and preventive measures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor compliance with safety requirements.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment by workers and employees.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct safety briefings and awareness sessions for employees and workers.
- Ensure firefighting equipment, emergency exits, and evacuation procedures are available and ready.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in safety engineering.
- Experience in construction, facility management, or maintenance projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency response procedures.
- Good knowledge of PPE requirements, fire safety, and workplace safety practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
