SAHARA Maintenance Services is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician.
The role installs, maintains, inspects, tests and troubleshoots fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in control panels, detectors, modules, sounders and other system components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and functional testing, identify faults and implement corrective actions.
- Verify system operation, report deficiencies and maintain accurate inspection, testing, maintenance and repair records.
- Read electrical drawings, fire alarm layouts and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors when required.
- Follow safety procedures and applicable fire protection standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or technical certificate in electrical engineering, electronics, fire and safety, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with control panels, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounders and related devices.
- Ability to read electrical and fire alarm system drawings.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
