Position Summary
Coordinate room control and guest service operations, including room assignments, reservations, check-in and check-out, billing, reporting, and guest requests.
Serve as a departmental role model while coordinating with other departments and supporting quality standards.
Room and Reservation Control
- Assign rooms according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
- Pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets.
- Coordinate check-in and pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
- Review room and check-out change requests and communicate status to appropriate staff.
- Confirm reservations and cancellations, perform duplicate reservation checks, and block rooms.
- Review out-of-order rooms daily.
Guest and Financial Operations
- Ensure rates match market codes and document exceptions.
- Verify and adjust guest billing and secure valid payment.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs and activate room keys.
- Run daily reports and file guest paperwork or documentation.
- Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Receive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
