The intern will work alongside researchers on cutting-edge inspection technologies.
The role is hands-on and based in an experimental research lab developing robotic delivery for non-destructive sensors.
The internship duration can be 3–11 months.
Responsibilities
- Implement real-time control and estimation algorithms on embedded systems.
- Integrate electro-mechanical hardware and software components.
- Implement computer vision algorithms such as pose estimation and multi-view stereo as required.
- Work as part of a team in an experimental research environment.
Required qualifications and skills
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.
- Adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
- Read documentation and leverage literature to implement efficient solutions.
- Debug across software, electronics, and mechanical systems.
- Work iteratively in an experimental environment.
- Program microcontrollers in C/C++ and work with RTOS, interrupts, and memory management.
- Use SPI, I2C, UART, or MODBUS protocols, basic CAD modeling, and PCB design.
- Use Python, OpenCV, and camera interfacing.
