Key skills for this role
Inspect road surfaces, drainage systems, and related infrastructure to identify maintenance and repair needs
Perform routine maintenance activities including patching, sealing, and resurfacing of roads
Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as compactors, pavers, and graders in accordance with safety protocols
Respond promptly to road damage reports and emergency situations with decisiveness and efficiency
Coordinate with traffic management personnel to ensure public safety during maintenance operations
Document maintenance activities, equipment usage, and work completed for record-keeping and compliance purposes
Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions
