With minimal oversight, develops, refines, and reviews horizontal and vertical alignments With minimal oversight, establishes the dimensions and geometry of roadway cross-sectional elements to determine and refine excavation, embankment, and haul quantities for roadway construction Using CADD software and other software packages, designs and detail other roadway features such as guardrail installations, culverts, storm sewer, drainage structures, utility, and right-of-way impacts Follows applicable State, Federal, and Agency design policies and procedures With minimal oversight, calculates pay quantities for the materials used to construct roadways and prepares spreadsheets summarizing these quantities Attends periodic workshops to increase skills and knowledge and train others in new methods and procedures With minimal oversight, issues intermediate plan sets, and attends inspections
