Role Overview
The Risk Systems Specialist acts as a technical GRC platform expert and strategic problem solver for Fidelity Canada’s Technology Risk functions.
The role uses RSA Archer, systems design, structured analysis, and consulting approaches to deliver scalable, automated, data-driven GRC solutions.
The position bridges business, risk, and technology domains to improve decision-making, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and control effectiveness.
Work Arrangement
- The role follows a flexible hybrid schedule.
- The work location is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, then is expected to move to Fidelity’s Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.
Strategic Problem Solving and GRC
- Decompose complex risk, compliance, and operational challenges into structured problem statements and solution components.
- Identify opportunities to digitize, standardize, and automate GRC processes using Archer.
- Support the evolution of enterprise risk capabilities through platform enablement and optimization.
Solution Architecture and Engineering
- Design, develop, and implement scalable Archer solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
- Deliver use cases covering technology risk, data protection, information security, compliance, issues management, and third-party risk.
- Configure workflows, calculations, and access frameworks.
Analysis, Integration, and Delivery
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Design integrations across Archer and platforms such as ServiceNow, cloud services, and data repositories.
- Develop automated data feeds, APIs, and workflows for real-time risk insights.
- Lead or contribute to Archer design, build, testing, deployment, and support activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Advise Information Security, Technology Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, solution walkthroughs, and executive-level discussions as required.
- Recommend improvements to processes, tooling strategy, GRC maturity, scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Archer development and configuration experience is required.
- A three-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Enterprise-scale GRC delivery, systems analysis, and application development experience are required.
- Experience supporting regulatory or transformation initiatives is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial services experience is preferred.
- Experience with Archer SaaS and cloud integrations is preferred.
- RSA Archer Certified Professional certification is an asset.
- Stakeholder management, influencing, communication, documentation, process mapping, and operating model design capabilities are emphasized.
Compensation
- Total annual cash compensation, including base salary and target discretionary performance bonus, ranges from $101,000 to $113,000 based on experience and qualifications.
- After six months of employment, the company provides an RRSP contribution with no employee matching required.
