Role Information

  • Location: Kuwait.

Job Purpose

Take overall responsibility for the performance and profitability of assigned drilling rigs.

Oversee HSE, maintenance, operations, personnel management, subcontractors, and asset protection.

Build a culture of safety, collaboration, operational excellence, and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day drilling operations and well completion activities.
  • Manage the performance, profitability, and operational integrity of assigned rigs.
  • Uphold quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Lead and manage multiple drilling crews, including subcontractors.
  • Oversee personnel training and development.
  • Coordinate rig logistics, supply chains, and external support services.
  • Act as the primary on-site client contact and address stakeholder needs.

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in the oil field.
  • Proven experience leading, managing, and motivating multiple drilling crews.
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing all aspects of wellbore operations.
  • Ability to optimize drilling performance, reduce costs, and meet project timelines.
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations and commitment to safety leadership.
  • Experience maintaining positive client and internal stakeholder relationships.

Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; any graduation is accepted.
  • A technical degree or diploma in Drilling Technology or a related engineering field is highly preferred.
  • Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certificate at supervisor level.
  • Other industry-recognized drilling and HSE certifications are considered an asset.
