Responsibilities
- Greet pet parents warmly and guide them toward the right food, dietary supplements, toys, and accessories
- Maintain up to date knowledge of pet food ingredients, dietary restrictions, manufacturing specifications, life stage nutrition, and product warranties/recalls
- Recommend tailored product combinations to maximize store sales and improve pet well being
- Answer customer queries regarding pet care products and resolve complaints professionally
- Efficiently restock shelves, check expiration dates on pet food/treats, and participate in stock control
- Set up eye catching promotional displays for seasonal pet accessories, new food arrivals, and brand specific campaigns
- Attach correct price tags, manage stock rotations (First In, First Out for food products), and ensure compliance with brand display guidelines
- Process cash and card payments accurately, and handle returns or refunds smoothly according to company policy
- Maintain a vigilant presence on the retail floor to monitor inventory and minimize shrink or shoplifting
- Assist in keeping the store clean, organized, and safe for visiting pets and their owners
- Work collaboratively with multiple supervisors and team members to hit sales targets under tight daily deadlines
Requirements

- Recommend tailored product combinations (e.g., matching a specific food with proper feeding bowls, treats, or grooming accessories) to maximize store sales and improve pet well being.
- Patiently answer customer queries regarding pet care products and resolve complaints professionally, escalating complex issues to the supervisor when needed.
- Efficiently restock shelves, check expiration dates on pet food/treats, and participate in stock control to ensure maximum product freshness.
- Set up eye catching promotional displays for seasonal pet accessories, new food arrivals, and brand specific campaigns.
