  • **Position reports to:** CEO
  • Position brief:
  • The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient team management, and smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while maintaining high standards in food quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
  • Experience in handling multi-cuisine concepts, especially American and Afghani cuisine, is an advantage.
  • Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests
  • Job responsibilities include:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations
  • Manage staff, duty schedules, and performance
  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Control costs, inventory, and wastage
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with kitchen and senior management
  • Provide training to staff and assess performance on and ongoing basis
  • Manage the restaurant to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety and cleanliness
  • Oversee and actively deal with customer quires and complaints
  • Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
  • Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices
  • Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed
  • Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
  • Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
  • Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
  • Handling monthly and bi-monthly inventories
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

  • Strong, demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
  • Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
  • Communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Required Education And Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related certificate
