- **Position reports to:** CEO
- Position brief:
- The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient team management, and smooth day-to-day functioning.
- The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage both front-of-house and back-of-house operations while maintaining high standards in food quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience in handling multi-cuisine concepts, especially American and Afghani cuisine, is an advantage.
- Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests
- Job responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations
- Manage staff, duty schedules, and performance
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor food quality and presentation standards
- Control costs, inventory, and wastage
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen and senior management
- Provide training to staff and assess performance on and ongoing basis
- Manage the restaurant to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety and cleanliness
- Oversee and actively deal with customer quires and complaints
- Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
- Research new wholesale food suppliers and negotiate prices
- Calculate future needs in kitchenware and equipment and place orders, as needed
- Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and back of the house staff
- Keep detailed records of daily, weekly and monthly costs and revenues
- Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling trainings and ordering uniforms)
- Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
- Handling monthly and bi-monthly inventories
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements
- Strong, demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
- Possess a positive, service-oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Required Education And Experience
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related certificate
