Job Summary

The Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression for guests by greeting, seating, and assisting them throughout their dining experience.

The role involves managing reservations, coordinating table seating, maintaining guest flow, and ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

Guest Reception & Seating

· Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and thank them upon departure.

· Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

· Manage the seating plan to maximize restaurant capacity and efficiency.

· Coordinate table assignments with service staff and supervisors.

· Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods.

Reservations Management

· Handle reservations through phone calls, online platforms, and walk-in requests.

· Confirm reservations and update booking systems accurately.

· Monitor reservation schedules and communicate any changes to the management team.

· Ensure VIP guests and special requests are properly arranged.

Customer Service

· Provide professional and friendly assistance to guests.

· Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant facilities, and operating hours.

· Assist in resolving minor guest concerns and escalate issues when necessary.

· Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere at all times.

Restaurant Coordination

· Communicate effectively with waiters, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

· Monitor table turnover and seating availability.

· Assist with special events, group bookings, and promotional activities.

· Ensure reception and waiting areas remain clean and presentable.

Administrative Duties

· Maintain accurate reservation records and guest information.

· Answer telephone calls professionally and direct inquiries appropriately.

· Assist in preparing daily reservation reports when required.

Appearance & Standards

· Maintain professional grooming and appearance standards.

· Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards.

· Ensure menus, promotional materials, and reception areas are properly maintained.

Requirements

· Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or similar role preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Professional appearance and positive attitude.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Basic computer and reservation system knowledge.

· Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
