Job Summary
Manage restaurants, bars, and room service where applicable within the food and beverage operation.
Supervise daily operations, assist with menu planning, maintain sanitation standards, support peak-period floor operations, and maximize guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Determine training needs and implement plans to accomplish operational goals.
Education and Experience
- One pathway is a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area.
- An alternative pathway is a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major plus 2 years of relevant experience.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Manage employees and daily operations and understand employee positions well enough to perform duties during absences.
- Maintain service and sanitation standards across restaurant, bar, lounge, and room service areas.
- Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational, and financial objectives.
