Job Description
The role supports hotel reservations and guest service delivery while maintaining effective communication for all reservations.
The position is intended for a passionate, dynamic, and guest-focused revenue professional.
Responsibilities
- Process and confirm guest room reservations received by phone, letter, or fax.
- Enter reservations into the computer and record all pertinent information.
- Respond to inquiries, complaints, and requests regarding reservations.
- Stay up to date with hotel and surrounding-area promotions.
- Follow procedures for room reservations, rates, confirmations, and hotel facilities.
- Demonstrate product knowledge, understand the rate structure, and apply rate management.
- Maintain correspondence files and prepare reports for the Reservations Manager or Supervisor.
- Promote good public relations and help maximize business.
- Maintain accurate room status at all times.
- Answer incoming calls according to hotel standards and monitor faxes and incoming emails.
- Organize guest visa requests according to hotel policy and upsell when appropriate.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma or degree within the hospitality field is required.
