Position Overview
- The New York University Abu Dhabi Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab seeks to hire a new Research Engineer / Technician.
- CAMeL's mission is research and education in artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science.
- Main lab research areas: Arabic natural language processing, machine translation, and text analytics.
Qualifications
- Research Engineer (MS) or Research Technician (BS) with at least 3 5 years of experience.
- Strong preference for individuals with computer science or computer engineering degrees including previous experience in natural language processing or computational linguistics/language technologies degrees.
- Strong programming and software engineering skills, and machine learning experience.
- Some research publication experience.
- Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred, but not required.
- Previous work on Arabic NLP is preferred but not required.
