Job Description
- The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research Associate to carry out the calculations underpinning an ESG/CSR impact index and its associated model.
- The candidate should be skilled in quantitative and computational modeling, data analysis, and sustainability metrics.
Minimum Qualification
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong quantitative and computational modeling skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Experience computing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and assessing environmental impacts.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.
- Experience in building analytical dashboards.
Preferred Qualification
- Familiarity with ESG/CSR frameworks and sustainability indicators.
- Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) or process modeling.
- Command of analytical tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, R).
- Adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands.
- Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
- Proficiency with dashboard and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
