RES-158 - Commercial Director

Overview

• Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an accomplished Commercial Director for the RES-158 project within our residential development portfolio.
• This leadership role demands a strategic and commercially astute professional to oversee all commercial activities associated with the residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on budget, and meet quality standards.
• The Commercial Director will be responsible for managing contract negotiations, procurement, risk management, and financial performance, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
• This role requires a hands-on approach to managing commercial teams and fostering innovation and excellence within the commercial function.
• Key Responsibilities* Develop and execute commercial strategies for the RES-158 residential project.
• Manage all commercial aspects including procurement, contract administration, and commercial risk mitigation.
• Lead negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and any third parties to ensure favorable terms.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to meet cost efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project management and other departments to align commercial objectives with project goals.
• Oversee and develop the commercial team, enhancing their capabilities and performance.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on commercial performance and project status to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in commercial management.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the Middle East/GCC region.
• Must have at least 3 years of client-side experience.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in residential development/projects, whether with developers, consultants, or contractors.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation, procurement, and commercial risk management.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent are preferred.
