Role Overview
The Remote IT Technician provides technical support and maintenance for computer systems, software applications, and network-related technologies from a remote work environment.
The role diagnoses technical issues, resolves user requests, and supports reliable information technology operations with timely customer service.
Technical Support Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and business applications.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues through remote access tools and support platforms.
- Install, configure, and maintain software, system updates, and user applications.
- Respond to service requests, prioritize incidents, and manage support tickets through completion.
- Assist users with account access, system configuration, and general technology inquiries.
Monitoring, Escalation, and Documentation
- Monitor system performance and identify recurring technical issues for further investigation.
- Escalate complex incidents to specialized technical teams while maintaining clear communication with users.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, resolutions, and technical procedures.
