Responsibilities

  • The position plays a key role in transitioning the organization from reactive and time based maintenance to a proactive, predictive maintenance culture by integrating CBM tools (e.g., System 1, VISOR, vibration and oil analysis), defining monitoring philosophies, and implementing standardized RCA fr
  • Ensure adherence to relevant international standards and best practices, including API, ISO, and OEM requirements.
  • Ensure all activities are executed in full compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement reliability strategies for critical assets, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and auxiliary systems.
  • Lead RCFA investigations and ensure effective, sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Define and lead the Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) strategy, including standards, methodologies, and technology selection.
  • Establish monitoring philosophies, alarm limits, and inspection frequencies based on equipment criticality.
  • Develop asset health dashboards and leverage CBM systems to support data driven maintenance decisions.
  • Manage and optimize machinery performance by using monitoring tools (e.g. GE System 1 (machinery monitoring), VISOR (VFD monitoring), vibration analysis, and oil analysis).

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.

Experience Profile

  • 8–15 years of experience in rotating equipment, reliability engineering, and condition based monitoring (CBM) within oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven expertise across critical rotating assets, including pumps, compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and delivering reliability improvement and asset performance enhancement initiatives.
  • Hands on experience with condition monitoring systems and predictive maintenance technologies, including online and offline monitoring tools.
  • Experience in developing or contributing to CBM strategies, maintenance optimization, and reliability frameworks is strongly preferred.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of API standards including API 610, 617, 618, 611, 612, 614, and related rotating equipment standards.
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA / RCFA) methodologies and frameworks.
  • Condition Based Monitoring standards (ISO 17359, ISO 13373, ISO 20816).
  • Asset Performance Management (APM) systems and digital reliability tools.
  • Vibration analysis techniques, diagnostics, and interpretation.
  • Lubrication engineering and tribology principles.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring systems such as GE System 1, VISOR (VFD monitoring), and related equipment monitoring platforms.
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Oracle.
  • Good understanding of Management of Change (MOC), risk assessment, and asset integrity processes.
