Have strong skills in building commitment and trust with clients and co-workers. Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred - Applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and personal attributes may be considered. Active registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) is required. Graduation from a recognized nursing education program. Basic computer literacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong Family Centered Care philosophy. Ability to be physically confined to an area due to job demands. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to adhere to nursing policy and practice standards. Ability to maintain adherence to Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and showing initiative for improvement. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and accept change. Ability and availability to pick up a combination of days, evenings, nights, weekends and short-call shifts. Personal Suitability: Evidence of strong interpersonal and effective communication skills in all encounters. Evidence of initiative, flexibility and sound judgment. Evidence of thoroughness and attention to detail. Evidence of maturity and stability. Evidence of positive attitude, caring and concern. Evidence of punctual and regular attendance.

Recent Pediatric experience preferred. Recent Charge Nurse experience preferred.
