Overview

The Pediatric Surgical / Solid Organ Transplant unit provides children and their families with the care required for extensive surgical procedures from the time of admission until discharge.
Most of our patients have multiple and complex medical conditions requiring a multi-disciplinary approach in their management.
The requirements of the pediatric patient population include diagnostic work-ups, medical-surgical management, nursing assessments, interventions and education.
A sitter or parent is encouraged to stay with the patient to promote family-centered care.
