Position details

Human resources duties

• Assist management and department leaders with human resources issues and procedures.
• Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
• Monitor and assist managers and supervisors with recruitment procedures and issues.
• Coordinate drug screening and candidate reference, background, driving-license, and social-security-number checks.
• Maintain logs for rotations, screening tests, transfer requests, and candidate referrals.
• Create and maintain new-hire and personnel files in HR systems.
• Assist with new-employee orientation and training on HR procedures, programs, policies, and systems.
• Monitor hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with applicable laws and company standards.

Records and employee support

• Maintain accurate personnel records, interview documents, I-9 records, and filing systems.
• Assist with payroll record processing and maintenance when applicable.
• Inform HR management about employee-relations issues.
• Generate HR data reports as needed.
• Handle phones, messages, office correspondence, and accurate document preparation.
• Support positive professional relationships, confidentiality, and clear communication in the workplace.

Recommended qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.
