Overview

  • The City of Calgary is committed to public service, collaboration, and work life balance.
  • This position provides strategic oversight of Real Estate & Development Services information assets.

Primary Duties

  • Gather requirements from partners, analyze business workflows, and design standardized processes.
  • Develop and implement information governance strategies for security, compliance, and accessibility.
  • Provide advisory services and training to leadership and staff.
  • Prepare project plans, delegate tasks, and monitor milestones.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Monitor retention triggers and manage the lifecycle of records.
  • Administer information assets within systems and enforce data integrity protocols.
  • Coordinate ATIA and POPA requests, compile records, and prepare disclosure packages.
  • Conduct legal reviews and flag sensitive information for redaction.
  • Lead Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy Breach responses.

Qualifications

  • Completed 2 year diploma in information science, records management, access & privacy, public policy, business administration, or legal studies plus 5 years experience; OR degree plus 3 years experience.
  • Experience with Content Server, Physical Objects, MS SharePoint or similar applications required.
  • Working knowledge of ATIA and POPA preferred.
  • Project management or business analyst experience an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills.

Pay Information

  • Pay Grade 9: CAD 41.49 55.51 per hour.
  • Standard 35 hour work week.
  • Temporary position up to 12 months.

Workstyle

  • Eligible for hybrid work (work from home part of the time), subject to operational requirements.
