About the Role
The City of Calgary seeks a Records and Information Analyst to provide strategic oversight of information assets for Real Estate & Development Services. You will develop governance strategies, ensure compliance with legislative records requirements, and coordinate access and privacy programs.

Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from partners, analyze business workflows to identify duplication and redundancy, and design and standardize new processes.
- Develop and implement information governance strategies to ensure security, compliance, and accessibility of information assets.
- Provide advisory services and training to leadership and staff.
- Prepare project plans and timelines, delegate tasks, and monitor milestones.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
- Monitor retention triggers, apply classification schedules, and oversee legal disposition of records.
- Administer information assets within systems and enforce protocols for data integrity, discoverability, and access controls.
- Coordinate lifecycle of ATIA and POPA requests, compile and review records, and prepare disclosure packages.
- Conduct legal reviews and flag sensitive information for potential redaction.
- Lead completion of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Privacy Information Banks (PIBs), and Privacy Breach responses.
Requirements
- Completed 2 year diploma in information science, records management, access & privacy, public policy, business administration, or legal studies plus at least 5 years of related work experience; OR a degree plus at least 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience using Content Server, Physical Objects, MS SharePoint or other electronic information management applications.
- Working knowledge of Access to Information Act (ATIA) and Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) preferred.
- Project management or business analyst experience is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and ability to prioritize and plan work effectively.

Pay Information
- Pay Grade 9: CAD 41.49 55.51 per hour.
- Standard 35 hour work week.
- Temporary position up to 12 months.
Workstyle
- Eligible for hybrid work (work from home part of the time), subject to operational requirements.
