Reconciliation Working Group

Contribute and make meaningful progress in WorkCover’s reconciliation journey by joining our Reconciliation Working Group.

We're looking to grow the Reconciliation Working Group with a mix of perspectives and experiences across:

• Customer and non-customer facing teams
• Leaders and team members
• Lived experience and allyship.

As a Reconciliation Working Group member, you'll:

• Meet for a 60 minute workshop every 6 weeks
• Contribute to WorkCover’s First Nations Strategy and Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan objectives
• Promote and role model inclusion at WorkCover.

As a Reconciliation Working Group member, you'll have 1 day per month allocated to inclusion activities (from attending workshops and training, to coordinating events or writing content for Turn Up).

Your time investment across the year can scale up or down depending on your capacity and interests and will be managed between you and your leader.

The Reconciliation Working Group was established in February 2020, and since this time, we've achieved some important things together, including:

• Delivering a Reflect RAP from 2021, now delivering an Innovate RAP
• Celebrating and engaging with the community on First Nations significant dates including by engaging in NAIDOC and National Reconciliation Week activities.
• Investing in a Supply Nation membership to support the procurement of First Nations services

• Launching WorkCover’s First Nations Foundations online training, Brisbane City Cultural Walking Tours, and supporting the First Nations Strategy team on other pieces of important work.
