Job Summary
- The Receptionist is the first point of contact for pet parents and visitors at our pet boarding facility.
- This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing reservations, handling administrative duties, and ensuring smooth front desk operations.
- The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail oriented, and passionate about animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet pet parents warmly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries promptly.
- Provide accurate information about boarding services, pricing, policies, and availability.
- Address client questions and resolve concerns in a calm, courteous manner.
- Reservations & Scheduling: Book, confirm, modify, and cancel boarding reservations.
- Maintain accurate pet records including vaccination status and special care instructions.
- Coordinate check in and check out processes efficiently.
- Update scheduling software and maintain daily boarding lists.
- Administrative Duties: Process payments, invoices, and receipts.
- Maintain organized client files and digital records.
- Monitor inventory of front desk supplies.
- Assist with reports and basic bookkeeping tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation or equivalent.
- Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred.
- Comfortable working around dogs, cats, and other pets.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in veterinary clinics, pet boarding, grooming, or animal care environments.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail (especially regarding pet health records).

Working Conditions
- Indoor front desk environment within a pet facility.
