- Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other small animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels and play areas
- Monitor overall health and behavior of pets
- Supervise playtime and walk dogs
- Support grooming sessions and assist with safe handling during bathing, nail trimming, and brushing
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols
- Report any signs of illness or distress
- Maintain accurate records of each pet's activities and needs

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in pet handling, animal care, or a similar role in a boarding, daycare, or veterinary setting
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior, body language, and safe handling techniques for dogs and cats
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking dogs, cleaning facilities, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Passion for animal welfare and a calm, patient approach

Role Description
- The Pet Handler is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels and play areas, and monitoring overall health and behavior.
- Supervise playtime, walk dogs, support grooming sessions, and assist with safe handling during bathing, nail trimming, and brushing.
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols, report any signs of illness or distress, and maintain accurate records of each pet’s activities and needs.
- Communicate with colleagues and pet guardians in a professional manner, helping ensure a welcoming, well organized environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in pet handling, animal care, or a similar role in a boarding, daycare, or veterinary setting.
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior, body language, and safe handling techniques for dogs and cats.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking dogs, cleaning facilities, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, including following established procedures and guidelines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and pet guardians.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Comfort working in a fast paced environment and managing multiple pets with varying needs at the same time.
- Basic record keeping skills and the ability to follow instructions and update care logs accurately.
- Passion for animal welfare and a calm, patient approach to handling pets of different sizes and temperaments.
- Previous experience in grooming assistance or training is an advantage; formal animal care coursework or certifications are a plus.
