Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an organized Receiving Clerk to join its Brea, CA team! The Receiving Clerk is responsible for various receiving duties including unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying received items against purchase orders and packing slips, documenting and reporting discrepancies or damages, maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels, sorting, labeling, and storing items.
Key Requirements
often involve strong organizational skills, attention to detail, physical stamina for lifting and standing, and basic computer skills for inventory software.
Importantly, this position is not responsible for operating material handling equipment like forklifts and hand trucks!

Responsibilities
of the Receiving Clerk :
- Monitor work processes and makes suggestions for modifications in order to increase and improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate receiving of all stock, non-stock, and subcontract parts.
- Complete kits on production start date or prior to, and issue parts to jobs in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Communicate unplanned shortages to the Purchasing Department and monitoring on time kit percentages to help meet goals.
- Assist suppliers with resolving cycle count discrepancies in consignment program.
- Scans Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) on Bond Program on a weekly basis.
- Directs handling of non-conforming components or damaged materials and products.
- Resolves invoice discrepancies and adjustment discrepancies including negative on-hand report.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience working in receiving and/or warehouse.
- Minimum one years' experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment with electronic components preferred.
- PC literate with good working knowledge of Windows and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and/or ERP systems.
- Mathematical skills preferred with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems while successfully managing multiple tasks required.
