Role Profile

Key Performance Areas

• Initiate and maintain key contracts, review proposed store layouts, and distribute store-opening schedules.
• Negotiate new and existing leases to achieve competitive, market-related rates and prominent retail locations.
• Maintain Alshaya systems in line with company policies and produce reports for management and stakeholders.
• Find, investigate, and evaluate potential retail sites within the assigned area.
• Recommend team structures, manage and develop the team, and support future business requirements.
• Recommend renewals, relocations, or closures for the existing property portfolio.
• Track property costs and recommend lease terms and changes during renegotiations.
• Advise on commercial opportunity, risk, costs, and investment analysis.
• Develop internal and external relationships and act as a company ambassador.
• Provide consultancy on legal aspects of leases and related matters such as insurance.
• Advise stakeholders on property and market developments and manage brand requirements and expectations.
• Conclude lease renegotiations through research and relationships with landlords, developers, brands, and property-market participants.

Knowledge and Experience

• A property qualification, such as Chartered Surveyor or similar, is required.
• Legal training is desirable.
• At least 10 years of retail-specific property management and negotiation experience is required.
