Rail Logistics Operations

Plan, coordinate and monitor rake loading and unloading operations for clinker, cement and key raw materials to ensure seamless rail logistics execution.

Drive turnaround time (TAT) improvement by coordinating closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Dispatch and Railway stakeholders to achieve loading and unloading targets.

Supervise end-to-end rake operations , including rake placement, loading, unloading, release, documentation and operational compliance.

Ensure timely loading and unloading of rakes within stipulated timelines and contractual service standards through effective planning and resource deployment.

Monitor rake movement and operational performance , identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and asset utilization.

Prevent demurrage and detention costs by ensuring adherence to loading and unloading schedules and timely resolution of operational issues.

Collaborate with plant teams to identify infrastructure gaps and drive modifications, capacity enhancements and process improvements required for efficient rake handling.

Coordinate with Indian Railways, siding operators, contractors, and service providers to ensure smooth rake movement and uninterrupted operations.

Track and analyze logistics KPIs including rake turnaround time, rake utilization, unloading/loading productivity, detention hours and cost performance.

Lead operational problem-solving and escalation management to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of rail dispatches and receipts.

Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and railway operating procedures during rake loading and unloading activities.

Prepare MIS, performance reports, and management dashboards to provide visibility on rail logistics performance, improvement opportunities and cost optimization initiatives.
