About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general plain-film radiography and other diagnostic imaging procedures according to departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CR/DR, fluoroscopy, mobile X-ray, CT, and MRI as applicable.
• Position paediatric, elderly, and immobile patients safely and respectfully for imaging.
• Apply ALARA principles and follow radiation protection and dosimetry protocols.
• Verify patient identity, imaging requests, and clinical history before each procedure.
• Prepare and administer contrast media when required under appropriate clinical supervision.
• Process, label, and upload images to PACS/RIS for reporting.
• Maintain patient records and imaging logs according to hospital governance and Qatar requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance, equipment calibration, and infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and nursing staff to support efficient patient flow.
• Participate in on-call or rotational shifts, including weekends, nights, or public holidays as required.
• Support junior radiographer and student training when required.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Radiography, Diagnostic Radiography, or Medical Imaging.
• At least 2–3 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing Radiographer.
• Current professional registration or license in the country of origin.
• Eligibility for licensure with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners.
• Proven competence in general radiography.
• Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Willingness to relocate to Qatar and complete visa, medical, and licensing formalities.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in CT, MRI, mammography, or theatre imaging is advantageous.
• Experience in a GCC or Middle Eastern healthcare setting is desirable.
• Cross-sectional imaging experience or specialist certification is desirable.
• BLS or ACLS certification is desirable.

Licensing and Relocation Support

• Support is provided for QCHP licensing, including DataFlow verification, document attestation, and visa sponsorship.
