About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead nursing operations within a [ward/unit/department] in its Doha facility.

This is a senior clinical leadership position for a nursing professional who combines strong people-management skills with a track record of driving quality, safety and operational performance in an acute or specialist care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the nursing team, ensuring safe staffing levels, appropriate skill mix and effective rostering.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care in line with hospital policy and international nursing standards (e.g. JCI).
  • Act as a clinical and professional role model, supporting staff development, mentorship and competency assessment.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management and continuing professional development for nursing staff within the unit.
  • Monitor and drive key quality and safety indicators, including infection control, incident reporting, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  • Manage the unit's budget, resources and supplies in collaboration with hospital administration.
  • Ensure compliance with QCHP regulations, Ministry of Public Health requirements and hospital accreditation standards.
  • Lead on policy and protocol development, audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise closely with physicians, allied health professionals and hospital leadership to coordinate patient care and resolve operational issues.
  • Handle patient and family concerns, escalations and complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in hospital-wide committees, accreditation preparation and strategic planning as required.
  • Provide leadership cover and participate in an on-call/rotational management schedule as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; Master's degree in Nursing, Health Management or related field an advantage.
  • Minimum of [5–7] years' post-registration nursing experience, including at least [2–3] years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Current, unrestricted nursing registration/licence in country of origin (e.g. NMC, CORU, AHPRA or equivalent).
  • Eligible for licensure with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) — Ministry of Public Health, Qatar.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff leadership, rostering, budgeting and performance management.
  • Strong working knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety frameworks and accreditation standards (e.g. JCI, CBAHI).
  • Excellent communication, conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage but not essential.
  • Willingness to relocate to Qatar and undertake all visa, medical and licensing formalities.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a GCC or Middle Eastern healthcare setting.
  • Specialist certification relevant to the unit (e.g. critical care, emergency, perioperative).
  • BLS/ACLS certification; formal leadership or management qualification.
