- Supervise and coordinate all daily quarry operations including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, crushing, and stockpile management across assigned shifts
- Plan and allocate daily work tasks to operators, drillers, blasters, and general site crew; monitor progress against production targets and adjust plans as required
- Conduct pre shift safety briefings, site inspections, and hazard identification walks; ensure all personnel comply with PPE requirements and site safety procedures
- Oversee and review drill and blast plans in coordination with the blasting contractor or licensed shot firer; ensure safe exclusion zones and post blast inspections
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance, report breakdowns, and minimize downtime
- Manage material quality by monitoring extraction faces, working with the geology team, and ensuring product grades meet customer and processing specifications
- Maintain accurate shift records including production volumes, equipment hours, fuel usage, incident reports, and near miss logs
- Enforce environmental controls including dust suppression, water management, noise mitigation, and site rehabilitation activities in line with permit conditions
- Liaise with dispatch, weighbridge, and logistics teams to coordinate material delivery schedules and customer order fulfillment
- Support the site manager with operational planning, budget tracking, contractor supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum Certificate III/IV in Surface Extraction Operations, Mining Engineering, Civil Construction, or related field
- At least 3–5 years of experience in quarry, open cut mining, or civil extraction operations
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leading hand capacity
- Solid working knowledge of quarry operations including drilling, blasting, crushing, screening, and materials handling
- Current statutory supervisor ticket, quarry manager certificate, or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to quarrying
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage site crews across multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Experience coordinating contractors, equipment vendors, and logistics providers on an active production site
- Competent in shift reporting, production record keeping, and basic computer applications (MS Office or equivalent)
- Valid heavy vehicle license and experience operating or supervising heavy earthmoving equipment
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills

- We are seeking an experienced, safety driven, and operationally focused Quarry Supervisor to oversee day to day extraction and production activities at our quarry site.
- The successful candidate will lead and coordinate site crews, manage equipment and material flows, and ensure that all quarrying operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- This is a hands on leadership role working closely with operators, blasting crews, maintenance teams, logistics personnel, and site management to deliver consistent production output while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.

- Experience coordinating contractors, equipment vendors, and logistics providers on an active production site.
