About the Role
Noavaran is seeking a Mining Engineer to plan, oversee, and optimize mining operations in Dubai. The role requires a BSc in Mining Engineering, 3-5 years of hands-on experience, and proficiency in mine planning software.

Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design and planning for mining operations, including open pit and/or underground mine layouts, blast designs, and haul road configurations.
- Develop and maintain short , medium , and long term mine plans in coordination with geology, surveying, and production teams.
- Monitor and optimize drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations to meet production schedules and cost targets.
- Conduct geotechnical assessments and slope stability analyses; recommend and implement ground control measures.
- Ensure full compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times; lead or participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, equipment vendors, and site crews to deliver operational milestones on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare technical reports, production performance summaries, and engineering documentation for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Support feasibility studies, resource estimation reviews, and capital project planning as required.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, environmental consultants, and community stakeholders on permitting and compliance matters.
Requirements
- Minimum BSc in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field
- At least 3–5 years of hands on mining engineering experience in an operational surface and/or underground mining environment
- Solid understanding of mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, MineSight, or equivalent) and AutoCAD or similar design tools
- Proven knowledge of drilling and blasting practices, ground control principles, and equipment fleet management
- Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation relevant to mining operations
- Project management experience: budgets, schedules, contractor coordination, and logistics
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English

Qualifications
- Minimum BSc in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field; MSc or professional registration (P.Eng. or equivalent) preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of hands on mining engineering experience in an operational surface and/or underground mining environment.
- Solid understanding of mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, MineSight, or equivalent) and AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Proven knowledge of drilling and blasting practices, ground control principles, and equipment fleet management.
- Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation relevant to mining operations.
- Project management experience: budgets, schedules, contractor coordination, and logistics.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to make sound engineering decisions under operational pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to produce clear technical reports and present findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in remote or challenging site environments is an asset.
- Fluency in English; additional languages an asset.
