Overview
The Quantity Surveyor – ID & Fit-Out manages all commercial and cost management activities on assigned fit-out projects from pre-contract through to final account.
The role ensures accurate cost control, timely valuations, and commercial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts for fit-out contracts.
- Conduct detailed material and labour takeoffs for joinery, gypsum, ceilings, flooring, painting, and FF&E.
- Prepare interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations; negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Assess, value, and submit variation and change order claims to clients; manage subcontractor variation accounts.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers; prepare tender documents, analyse bids, and recommend awards.
- Monitor project cost performance against budget; prepare monthly cost reports with variance analysis.
- Review contracts and flag commercial risks to senior management.
- Maintain records of all commercial correspondence, instructions, and approvals.
