Quantity Surveyor | Cost Estimator role managing construction cost planning, estimating, tendering, budgeting, and commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates, budgets, cost plans, BOQs, schedules of rates, pricing schedules, and tender documents.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, tender requirements, and project information.
- Perform quantity take-offs and price materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor works, and preliminaries.
- Evaluate quotations, prepare commercial bid evaluations, and support tender negotiation and clarification.
- Monitor budgets, expenditure, forecasts, cash flow, variances, risks, savings, and value engineering opportunities.
- Manage valuations, payment applications, supplier and subcontractor claims, variations, and change orders.
- Support contract administration, maintain commercial records, and assist with final accounts and settlement.
- Provide management with advice on project costs, procurement, commercial risks, and profitability.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimating, cost engineering, or a similar construction-commercial role.
- Strong knowledge of estimating, quantity measurement, cost planning, commercial management, contracts, procurement, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Experience with BOQs, tender documents, pricing schedules, quantity take-offs, construction drawings, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost-estimation or quantity-surveying software.
- FIDIC, JCT, NEC, AutoCAD, BIM, Bluebeam, CostX, Buildsoft, or Candy familiarity is advantageous where stated.
- RICS, AIQS, or equivalent professional membership or certification is advantageous.
