KIYOSHI Dubai is seeking a mid-level Mechatronics Engineer or Automation Technician to support automated machinery and mechatronic systems from development through operation.
The role combines engineering knowledge with hands-on technical skills to maintain reliable equipment, improve production efficiency, and support automation projects.

Automation and Maintenance
- Design, develop, install, maintain, and optimize mechatronic and automated systems.
- Install, configure, test, and commission automated machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, conduct root-cause analysis, and repair or calibrate components.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC control systems where required.
Systems and Improvement
- Support projects involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control components.
- Configure sensors, actuators, motors, drives, controllers, and other automation components.
- Support integration of robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and automated production equipment.
- Monitor performance, downtime, availability, efficiency, reliability, cycle time, productivity, and safety, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with automation upgrades, equipment modifications, retrofits, process improvements, expansion projects, testing, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up.
- Evaluate new automation technologies, components, and equipment for manufacturing improvements.
Documentation and Collaboration
- Read drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals, and perform alignment, calibration, testing, and functional verification.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs, spare parts, and test results, and prepare technical reports and procedures.
- Work with production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and operations teams and provide technical support to operators and maintenance personnel.
- Train technicians and operators on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure machinery and automation systems follow safety procedures and technical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechatronics, automation, electrical, mechanical, electronics engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in mechatronics, industrial automation, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or engineering support.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of automated machinery and industrial equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of motors, servo drives, variable-frequency drives, sensors, actuators, relays, and control systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, calibration equipment, and other diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Willingness to work in manufacturing plants, workshops, production floors, or industrial environments and support shifts, overtime, or emergency maintenance when required.
Preferred and Advantageous Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, or similar PLC platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with industrial robots, conveyors, machine vision, or automated production systems is preferred.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge is an advantage.
- Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, industrial communication networks, and machine-control systems is beneficial.
- Relevant technical certifications, PLC certifications, or automation training are advantageous.
