• Perform regular inspection and verification of manufacturing lines, equipment and processes throughout the plant based on agreed upon schedule; complete documentation when complete
• Perform instrument calibrations as needed (thermometers, gauges, lab equipment, etc.)
• Sampling and testing of raw materials, materials in progress, and finished goods; identify non-conforming material (NCM) and assist with the NCM process
• Help maintain library of retained samples to assist with material approvals and complaint investigations
• Regularly interact with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Sanitation and Logistic employees and supervisors to provide useful feedback on quality-related issues or concerns
• Verify the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are being met throughout the manufacturing plant and its processes
• Lead environmental swabbing program to ensure pathogen control
• Assist in monthly internal GMP audits to include documentation and corrective actions
• Participate in the shelf life monitoring program
• Lead the collection, analysis, summary and reporting of data in an appropriate format
• Investigate issues or potential issues and work with relevant parties to perform root cause analysis for deviations and customer complaints
• Willing to occasionally help on other shifts when vacations or emergency situations arise
• Assist in the design and implementation of processes and procedures within the Quality Assurance department
• Participate in cross-functional team collaboration to assure effective implementation and adherence of Quality Assurance initiatives and continuous improvement
• Assist Quality Supervisor in the training of new Quality Technicians
