Job Purpose
Located out of our Belleville, Ontario plant, the Quality Systems Supervisor has the general accountability for the ongoing development and maintenance of the CFIA recognized HACCP program, Quality Management Systems, FSSC and HALAL programs as well as other associated quality functions.
Responsibility
- Responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of all food safety/quality systems throughout the plant.
- Support Change Management through documentation changes
- Ensure compliance to regulatory food safety requirements and programs
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the Internal Quality Audit Program through coordinating audits, issuing audit findings and following corrective actions through to completion.
- Lead external customer and regulatory audits
- Provide necessary training within the facility to ensure compliance to the quality and food safety programs. Training includes CCP training, new employee orientation and annual refresher training. Oversee other food safety training.
- Maintain in-house product specifications and support new/existing product initiatives
- Ensure all program and documented records are maintained in an organized manner
- Supervises documentation compliance employee
- Support other quality department functions including cross-training in other roles
Qualifications
- Highly self-motivated and results driven individual
- Strong computer skills as it relates to Microsoft Excel/Word/Access and SAP
- Adept problem solver
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide individual and group training
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
- Ability to work individually or within a team
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Direct work experience in the food manufacturing industry which includes formal HACCP Level 1 and Level 2 certification
- Prefer supervisory experience
- Prefer university degree or equivalent relating to food science, biotechnology or similar
- Fluent in oral and written English

Compensation:
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is: $70,100.00–$87,600.00 .
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
