Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) for BESS electrical works
- Ensure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures
- Monitor project quality objectives and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Lead internal quality audits and subcontractor quality assessments
- Supervise QA/QC activities for BESS components including Battery Containers, BMS, PCS, EMS, Inverters, Transformers, Switchgear, SCADA, etc.
- Review and approve Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and quality documentation
- Monitor Non Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and Preventive Action Reports (PAR) through to closure
- Verify vendor documents, FAT reports, SAT reports, calibration certificates, and test records
- Review as built drawings and final quality dossiers
- Witness electrical testing and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, OEMs, and Client representatives
- Mentor QA/QC Engineers and Electrical Inspectors
Requirements
- Experience in quality management for BESS or similar electrical projects
- Knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures
- Experience with internal quality audits and subcontractor quality assessments
- Familiarity with BESS components: Battery Containers, BMS, PCS, EMS, Inverters, Transformers, Switchgear, etc.
- Ability to review and approve quality documentation (IR, MIR, NCR, CAR, PAR)
- Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities

Electrical QA/QC
- Supervise QA/QC activities for: Battery Containers, Battery Racks, Battery Modules, Battery Management System (BMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), Energy Management System (EMS), Inverters, Transformers, MV/LV Switchgear, Protection & Control Panels, SCADA & Communication Systems, DC/AC Cabling, Ea
Inspection & Documentation
- Review and approve Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and quality documentation.
- Monitor Non Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and Preventive Action Reports (PAR) through to closure.
- Verify vendor documents, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports, Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports, calibration certificates, and test records.
- Review as built drawings and final quality dossiers.
Testing & Commissioning Support
- Witness electrical testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with OEM commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with commissioning teams and client representatives during energization and system handover.
- Verify punch point closure before project turnover.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, OEMs, and Client representatives.
- Mentor QA/QC Engineers and Electrical Inspectors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.
