Quality Inspector – Electrical

Role Overview

Employment Details

• The assignment is for 1 year and is extendable.
• The stated project location is Habshan.

Electrical Inspection Duties

• Conduct electrical inspections and witness tests according to approved ITPs, procedures, specifications, and drawings.
• Inspect cable systems, cable routes, glanding, terminations, equipment installation, and electrical testing.
• Inspect transformers, switchgear, MCCs, bus ducts, UPS systems, batteries, chargers, motors, distribution boards, generators, and HVAC-related electrical installations.
• Inspect earthing, lightning protection, lighting, sockets, junction boxes, heat tracing, cathodic protection, and associated functional tests.
• Perform hazardous-area inspections and verify certification, labelling, protection methods, and IP ratings.

Quality Coordination and Reporting

• Coordinate RFIs and site inspections with construction teams, subcontractors, clients, and third-party inspectors.
• Review inspection reports, test records, material certificates, method statements, and vendor documentation.
• Close RFIs, ITRs, QC instructions, punch items, and inspection test packages on time.
• Issue NCRs, support corrective actions, monitor equipment calibration, conduct site surveillance, and report quality performance.
• Ensure compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as an Electrical QC Inspector.
• Electrical inspection experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Experience with a major EPC contractor or its subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, ITPs, ITRs, RFIs, method statements, vendor documents, and electrical testing.
• Documented hazardous-area training and relevant experience are required for Ex inspections.
• Ability to work at project sites in demanding construction environments.
