Partner with design, manufacturing, inspection and assembly teams to solve quality issues and capture learning that improves future designs and processes.
Work with suppliers to assess capability, promote best-practice quality principles and ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Lead structured problem-solving and containment activities for quality concerns, component failures and trackside car faults, reporting concerns to the appropriate stakeholders and driving resolution.
Create and deploy inspection control procedures, while supporting the development and auditing of operational work instructions and check sheets.
Extensive quality engineering experience, supported by a degree in production engineering, mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Strong technical problem-solving and auditing skills, with knowledge of FMEA, process mapping and structured quality improvement techniques.
A Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
In-depth knowledge of carbon fibre and metallic manufacturing processes, together with a thorough understanding of metrology techniques and terminology.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and the supply chain.
Clear and effective communication skills, with the confidence to raise quality concerns and support timely decision-making.
