Role overview
Build and evolve frameworks that ensure trust, reliability, and accuracy across the modern data platform.
Work with Analytics Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and stakeholders to improve reliable data products.
Data quality frameworks
- Design, implement, and continuously improve data quality frameworks across the data platform.
- Build automated data quality tests, validation controls, monitoring frameworks, and source freshness checks.
- Establish quality standards and embed controls throughout the data development lifecycle.
Testing and anomaly detection
- Develop statistical checks and anomaly detection techniques for unexpected changes in data and business metrics.
- Balance rigorous quality standards with pragmatic operational practices.
- Improve monitoring to maximize data reliability while minimizing unnecessary alerts.
Alerting and incidents
- Design alerting and notification frameworks that prioritize issues according to business impact.
- Establish incident management processes and perform root cause analysis across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers.
