Quality Engineering Duties
- Monitor and support QA/QC implementation across construction activities and verify compliance with specifications, procedures, contracts, and standards.
- Review contractor QA/QC systems, quality plans, procedures, ITPs, and related quality documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, quality surveillance, and audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Review contractor inspection, testing, sampling, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and test results.
- Support quality management systems, monitoring programs, inspection plans, testing requirements, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate, document, and close out non-conformances, deficiencies, and quality-related issues.
- Coordinate quality requirements with project teams, contractors, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Provide reports to the QA/QC Manager and maintain records of inspections, testing, audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Support contract administration and promote best-practice QA/QC procedures and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- More than 10 years of total experience, including at least 7 years in a similar Quality Engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience in roads, highways, expressways, or related infrastructure projects.
- Strong construction QA/QC experience covering quality systems, inspections, testing, audits, and documentation.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification and valid Qatar Engineering License or UPDA registration.
- Knowledge of ITPs, method statements, material approvals, testing requirements, NCRs, and corrective actions.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong reporting, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous Ashghal project experience in Qatar is an advantage.
