- Description of Responsibilities:
- Comply with all HSE, QMS, and corporate polices at Tube Supply
- Use appropriate quality instruments to verify product conformance
- Perform/witness inspection of machined products as per customer supplied drawings.
- Perform inspection of semi-finished / finished outbound orders
- Report any deficiencies to Supervisor, Management, and/or Quality
- Record inspection results accurately
- Identify and report defects or non-conformities
- Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required
- Scan and send (via email) inspection reports that result from order processing to the appropriate recipients. (i.e. Sales Assistants, Shipping group, Quality dept.)
- Ensure traceability is maintained on product (description, heat#, lot#, serial#, etc.)
- Inspect raw materials for dimensional, visual and straightness when required
- Coordinate with service suppliers as required
- Communicate inspection status and concerns clearly within the team
- Maintain 5S at the workstation
- Manage service and Calibration of all Inspection, Measuring, and Testing Equipment
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials in the warehouse
- Review Mill Test Reports / third party test reports / other quality documents to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards
- Facility up-keep and continual improvement
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor
Required Skills And Experience
- Must embody Tube Supply’s core values of Excellence, Loyalty, and Fun
- Minimum 4 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in steel service center/machine shop order processing
- Experience in inspecting API connections preferred
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO / API
- Basic understanding of NDT methods
- Excellent communication skills
- Associates/Technical degree or experience in the industry
- Good computer and document-processing ability
- Organized and Detail-oriented
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously
